Steve Stirrat, K9 Nosework Instructor
Steve is a Flight Paramedic full time, but 4 years ago he was introduced to K9 Nosework by Melanie Phillpot. He started training his own dog, Koda, and soon he became a K9 Nosework Instructor.

Every Spring he works as Logistics Coordinator at Georgia Nosework Camp where he learns from the best Instructors from across the Country. Steve and Koda have achieved their NW2 Title in Nosework and are working on NW3.

He also enjoys teaching Basic Obedience classes and private lessons.
Steve has been working with all types of dogs while helping them and their families unleash their full potential. He particularly likes the shy quiet dogs who may have had a difficult start in life. He said, "They just need help learning to trust again and I hope through my soft approach and patience I can show them what a loving home they are in now."

Jenny Higgins, DN-DBC, CPDT-KA

Jenny says that she "would love for everyday to consist of helping dogs become the best family members they can be."

She graduated from the Psychology department at the University of Florida in 2014. There, Jenny worked in the Canine Cognition and Behavior lab for two years studying behavior analysis. Then, she went through a 2-year certification process to become certified as a canine behavior consultant with Dognostics and the PPAB. She also has  the Professional Dog Trainer certification from the Council of Certified Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).

Jenny is an AKC CGC Evaluator, and may administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program, CGC, and AKC Community Canine (the new advanced level of CGC) and Urban CGC.

She is also certified in Pet CPR and First aid.

Jenny's decision to pursue a career with canine behavior resulted in the rescuing of her Shepherd Mix, Bentley. He was a pup full of anxiety and fear of people. They constantly work on restoring confidence in Bentley and building their relationship. Her passion is to see dogs transform into a more confident and happier self, and she knows this is best achieved with reward based training and emotion training.
